Ismael Saibari will miss Morocco’s World Cup quarter-final against France on Thursday night because of injury, according to BuLi News. The 25-year-old recently joined FC Bayern.

He was forced off with a hamstring problem during the 3-0 round-of-16 win over Canada.

Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi said at his pre-match press conference that everyone is available apart from Saibari. He added the game comes too soon for him and he hopes Saibari is not sidelined for the rest of the tournament.

Ouahbi highlighted the squad’s depth, noting those outside the XI are ready to influence games when called upon.

France and Morocco meet at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, with kick-off at 22:00 CEST.
