Ismael Saibari’s transfer to FC Bayern is practically complete. It now appears that the Munich club has also decided when it will officially present its new attacking player.

FC Bayern is in the home stretch of signing Ismael Saibari. An agreement has already been reached with PSV Eindhoven, and the most important formalities on the player’s side have also been taken care of. It is now becoming clear when the transfer is set to be officially announced.

As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, the record champions plan to announce the move in July. Until then, Saibari will continue to play for the Moroccan national team at the World Cup.

The 25-year-old has already successfully passed his medical examination, which took place a few days ago at Morocco’s training camp in the U.S. This means the final necessary steps on the player’s side have already been completed.

The contract terms between FC Bayern and Saibari have also been finalized. According to information from Sky, the attacking player will sign a long-term contract in Munich. The transfer fee is reported to total between 52 and 55 million euros.

Saibari also impressed at the World Cup

The fact that the upcoming transfer keeps coming up during the ongoing tournament does not appear to be causing any unrest in the Moroccan camp.

National team coach Mohamed Ouahbi recently stated: “The player is handling it very calmly; he’s focused on playing for Morocco.”

At the same time, the Belgian praised FC Bayern’s handling of the situation. He noted that the Munich club has so far been “not particularly aggressive” in its communications.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany also played a role in the Moroccan coach’s remarks. Ouahbi, who has known his compatriot for years, emphasized: “I think he understands that the priority right now is Morocco.”

Perfect publicity ahead of the transfer

On the field, meanwhile, Saibari continues to make a strong case for his upcoming move to Munich.

Already in the World Cup opener against Brazil, the attacking player scored the goal that gave Morocco the lead and was one of the most prominent players on the field. In the second group stage match against Scotland, he went one better and secured Morocco’s 1-0 victory with his goal.

Saibari is thus in impressive form shortly before his transfer. For Vincent Kompany, this is likely another positive sign.

While FC Bayern is finalizing the last organizational details, the Moroccan is focusing on the World Cup for now.
