Saka left out of England squad for Andorra match | OneFootball

Bukayo Saka has been left out of the England squad for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra.

England boss Thomas Tuchel had to trim his matchday squad by three, with Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, who’s been carrying a minor injury, also missing out.

Speaking in Friday’s press conference, Tuchel explained that Saka had only managed one full training session this week, so his omission is likely down to fitness concerns.

The 23-year-old hasn’t yet featured under Tuchel, having also missed the manager’s first England camp in March while recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for over three months.

It’s still unclear whether Saka will be involved in the upcoming friendly against Senegal on 10 June.

As for tonight’s game, the Three Lions are expected to breeze past Andorra, who sit 173rd in the FIFA rankings, and make it three wins from three in their qualifying campaign.
