Mohamed Salah has claimed that the latest Premier League title win for Liverpool is far better than their triumph under Jurgen Klopp in 2020.

Liverpool enjoyed a brilliant season, leading the Premier League for most of the campaign and only losing two matches along the way.

The Reds were consistent throughout, showing strength and focus as they marched towards another league title.

Salah has had an outstanding individual season. With 28 goals and 18 assists, he leads the league in goals and assists.

Speaking after the title win, Salah told Sky Sports that this success means more given the club’s recent changes.

“This is way better, 100 percent,” he said.

“Without Sadio [Mane], without Jurgen, without Bobby [Firmino] – without everybody, it feels more special.

“We have a different group now, a different manager, so to be able to do it again is something special.”

Salah was also asked if new manager Arne Slot had improved his performances during the season.

“You can see the numbers – it seems so!” he added.

“He was very honest. He’s quite tough, his personality, but he made our lives easier because you knew immediately what he wanted you to do, which is what we did.”

Liverpool’s victory clinched their second Premier League title. This achievement places Slot among an elite group of managers to have won the prize in their first season in charge.

Jose Mourinho (Chelsea – 2004–05), Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea – 2009–10), Manuel Pellegrini (Manchester City – 2013–14) and Antonio Conte (Chelsea – 2016–17) are the others.

With Salah recently committing his future to Liverpool, the club will hope this title is the catalyst for a period of sustained success.
