Chivas Femenil has found a solid presence at the back in Samantha López. She joined the squad in Apertura 2025 and worked through her adaptation to Guadalajara’s playing style until earning her opportunity this semester. She made the starting lineup against Santos—just her third appearance with the team—and hasn’t let go of her spot since.

Heading into the final stretch of the Clausura 2026 and with a tight race for the top positions, “Sam” has brought all-around security to Antonio Contreras’ side. She is a tough-marking defender with good pace to track runs in behind and strong aerial ability, complemented by a refined left foot that helps in building out from the back.

Her performances have been so strong that she has already contributed two crucial goals for the Rebaño.
