According to Globo.com, Santos are close to signing 29-year-old Uruguayan midfielder Christian Oliva from Nacional, with a three-year contract being prepared.
The club have been seeking a midfielder capable of challenging for a starting place. They have already announced four arrivals, Gabigol, Gabriel Menino, Rony and Moisés, and are also targeting another centre-back.

An academy product of Montevideo’s Nacional, Oliva made his professional debut in 2018. He then played for Cagliari, Valencia, Talleres and Juárez before returning to the Uruguayan club in 2024.
Last season he featured in 42 matches, scoring three goals and supplying three assists.
In 2026 he has appeared only twice for Nacional.
