Santos have gone five matches without a victory, equalling their longest drought under head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda. The Argentine has overseen 24 games, with seven wins, 11 draws and six defeats, his side scoring 31 and conceding 27.

His first victory arrived against São Paulo at Vila Belmiro in last year's Brasileirão. Diario Do Peixe notes the pattern stretches across last season and the current campaign.

After that first win, Santos went three games without success before beating Corinthians at Vila Belmiro in Série A.

Following that clássico, they needed five more matches to win again, defeating Palmeiras at Vila in the league. In that spell they drew with Botafogo and Fortaleza, and lost to Vitória, Palmeiras and Flamengo.

This year began with a debut win over Novorizontino at Vila in the Paulistão. Santos have not won since, drawing with Guarani, Corinthians and Red Bull Bragantino in the state competition, and losing to Palmeiras.

They were also beaten by Chapecoense in their Brasileirão opener, taking the current run to five without a win.
