Santos are expected to spend almost R$ 20 million in 2026 on Patrick and Tiquinho Soares, neither of whom will play for the club. The pair are on loan at Remo and Mirassol, and Tiquinho could move to Fortaleza in the coming weeks.

The figures were detailed at the club’s Conselho Deliberativo meeting on Tuesday night, according to Diario Do Peixe. Despite receiving R$ 3.3 million from Mirassol for Tiquinho’s loan, Santos must cover his full salary, taking his 2026 cost to R$ 11 million.

Signed from Botafogo for about 3 million euros at the start of 2025, Tiquinho began well in the Campeonato Paulista then fell down the pecking order. He was loaned to Mirassol in February to help trim the wage bill. He has 40 games, seven goals and seven assists for Santos.

Patrick’s loan to Remo, with wages paid by Santos, will cost the club R$ 8.4 million this season. Remo are only responsible for payments due to the player’s representatives, about R$ 140,000.

The midfielder joined Santos in April 2024 after a deal with Atlético-MG, for a fee of 1 million dollars, about R$ 5.1 million at the time. He failed to secure a regular place, making 10 appearances in 2024 for 280 minutes with one assist and no goals. In 2025 he featured once, a defeat to Velo Clube in the Campeonato Paulista, before a loan to Athletico-PR.
