Corinthians will visit Santos this Thursday night (22), at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), at Vila Belmiro, for the fourth round of the first phase of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista. Currently, the Alvinegro occupies, with the round partially completed, the eighth position in the overall standings – the last spot that grants a place in the tournament’s knockout stage – with four points (one win, one draw, and one loss – four goals scored and four conceded).

The rival, in turn, has the same number of points and occupies the tenth position, trailing due to the number of goals scored. The club from Parque São Jorge is coming off a 1-1 draw against São Paulo, last Sunday (18), at Neo Química Arena, in the third match of the state championship. In the first two games, the Alvinegro beat Ponte Preta at home, 3-0, and was defeated by RB Bragantino by the same score in Atibaia.

Probable Lineup and Absences for Corinthians

The Corinthians coaching staff will not be able to count on the following players for the derby against Santos: defender Cacá, who is recovering from an injury to the left oblique muscle, midfielder José Martínez, still in Venezuela awaiting the re-issuance of his passport so he can finally return to Brazil, and forward Memphis Depay, who is still undergoing muscle rebalancing work and yesterday had his first training session on the field in 2026. The number 10 should only be available for the Supercopa final.

Given this, coach Dorival Júnior should start the match with: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, André Ramalho (Gabriel Paulista), Gustavo Henrique, and Matheus Bidu; Raniele, André, Matheus Pereira, and Breno Bidon; Vitinho and Yuri Alberto (Gui Negão).

Given this, coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda may start the match with: Gabriel Brazão; Igor Vinicius, Adonis Frías, Zé Ivaldo, and Vinicius Lira; Willian Arão, João Schmidt, Zé Rafael (Gabriel Menino), and Rollheiser; Barreal and Gabigol (Thaciano).

Refereeing

The referee will be Lucas Canetto Bellote (SP), assisted by Evandro de Melo Lima (SP) and Anderson Jose de Moraes Coelho (SP). The fourth official and VAR will be Murilo Tarrega Victor (SP) and Thiago Duarte Peixoto (SP), respectively.
