Santos will be without Neymar Jr and Gabriel Barbosa for the trip to Athletico-PR on Thursday 12 in the Brasileirão, kick-off 19:00 at Arena da Baixada. According to Diario Do Peixe, both players will miss the third-round fixture.

The number 10 should return only against Velo Clube on Sunday 15 at Vila Belmiro in the Paulistão. He has been training normally at CT Rei Pelé.

Gabigol is also training, but will avoid the synthetic pitch in Paraná, so he is again being preserved. In the Paulistão, the club cited tendinitis, he featured only late in the derby with Palmeiras in Barueri and was not named to face Guarani in Campinas. In the Brasileirão, he was not selected for the opener against Chapecoense.

The headline addition could be forward Moisés. He has completed medicals, been training and was named by the coaching staff, but he must be registered in the CBF BID to debut against the Curitiba side.

Defender João Basso has recovered from a right calf injury. Midfielder Gustavo Henrique is also back from an adductor problem and could bolster the team.

Santos still have absentees Adonis Frías with a right-calf muscle injury, Zé Rafael with patellar tendinitis, and Willian Arão, who is recovering from kidney stone removal surgery.
