Check out Paul's FA Cup QF Tips

Paul Higham has Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final tipsheet where he's backing 19/10 Man City to be too good for Liverpool, an 11/5 cards shout at Stamford Bridge and patched-up Arsenal to survive at St Mary's - plus an 8/1 acca on all three...

Man City v Liverpool Tip - City too good at home

Man City are 8/11 to win at the Etihad and make an eighth consecutive FA Cup semi-final as they chase a fourth straight final. Being drawn at home is huge for Pep Guardiola's side as they've won 17 FA Cup ties in a row at the Etihad and currently sit on an 18-game unbeaten home run domestically.

Arne Slot's future could be decided in the next few games with Liverpool playing at PSG after this game and as 16/5 match underdogs here having already lost twice to City this season it doesn't look good. Mohamed Salah should return but missing Alisson in goal is a huge loss for the Reds - who've been excellent twice but woeful four times in the last six games, there seems no middle ground.

Five of Liverpool's last seven saw both teams score and City have defensive injuries which will help the visitors grab a goal - especially Salah who is 23/10 anytime scorer and has 13 goals against City, three of the last four coming at the Etihad. A player special I like here though is Dominik Szoboszlai to have 1+ shot on target and 2+ fouls at 4/1 - which he's managed in both games against City this season.

Chelsea v Port Vale Tip - Play cards at the Bridge

Port Vale have done brilliantly to reach a first FA Cup quarter-final since 1954 after knocking out Premier League side Sunderland, but it's so hard to make a case for League One's bottom side as huge 28/1 underdogs. Chelsea don't suffer cup upsets much either, winning the last 37 domestic cup ties against lower league sides - so as laughable 1/18 favourites we have to find some sort of value way to back them.

I don't even fancy a Port Vale goal - Chelsea to win and both teams to score is 9/5 - so I'll leave the match result but expect a heavy Chelsea win to nil. Preference is for the 11/5 on over 2.5 Port Vale cards. Vale have picked up 13 cards in five FA Cup ties, all at home, with at least two in every match so away at Chelsea should be more than enough of an event to add one more.

The Blues have lost four games in a row so Liam Rosenior not only needs a win but a performance as well so he'll pick as strong a team as he dares, but you wouldn't expect Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez or Cole Palmer to start - more like Estevao Willian, Alejandro Garnaco and Liam Delap. Estevao would be the man here as he should have far too much quality, with the pick the 7/2 OddsBoost on 2+ shots on target and him to be fouled 2+ times.

Southamption v Arsenal Tip - Back Gunners to go through

Click here for Southampton v Arsenal odds20:00 kick-offLive on BBC One, HBO Max , BBCi & TNT Sports 1

Arsenal are still 1/4 favourites at St Mary's despite the crisis that saw 11 of Mikel Arteta's 18 international players withdraw from duty during the break, some with more obvious injuries than others, so it'll be interesting to see his team selection.

Saints are 19/2 home underdogs and while getting back to Wembley in the 50th anniversary year since their only FA Cup win would be nice, they're involved in a tight play-off battle with a Premier League return the priority.

Saints are also without suspended duo Flynn Downes and Kuryu Matsuki while skipper Jack Stephens is injured, so even against a patched-up Arsenal, Southampton will be up against it to get anything from this one. They usually score at home but have scored more than one goal in just two of the last 10 - and no matter who plays for The Gunners defence will be the priority.
