Interest from Saudi Arabia isn't anything new for Liverpool, we've seen moves happen before.
Jordan Henderson joined Al-Ettifaq in 2023, Fabinho followed suit that same year in joining Al-Ittihad, and Firmino initially joined Al-Ahli, before later joining Al-Sadd earlier this year. There are plenty of ex-Reds out in the Middle East finishing off their careers, it's a legitimate transfer move nowadays.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF), which props up a lot of the teams in the region, is always looking for statement signings that will bring the spotlight over to the Saudi Pro League (SPL) and as such, it's not uncommon for extreme financial offers to be involved in negotiations to sweeten the deal.
£150m is the current figure that is being rumoured for one of Liverpool's forwards and Alexander Isak certainly fits that brief. Florian Wirtz also joined the Reds for a similarly high fee. Although the player that they've got in mind is going to be worth every penny for entirely different reasons.
According to Football Insider, there are a number of opportunities earmarked for the Egyptian to work with when he arrives in the Middle East from Liverpool. When exactly Mohamed Salah is expected to arrive is a mystery, although the Saudis are confident they'll be able to secure him.

Salah's immediate future - before his deal ends in 2027 - is uncertain, following an underwhelming start to the season, and given he's now 33 years-old, you'd expect him to start slowing down soon.
And the last move before he retires is expected to come sooner rather than later, per the latest report.
On the Inside Track podcast, former Everton CEO Keith Wyness said: "It's definitely that sort of £150m level, if not more, because he's going to be doing a lot of ads.
"I think Salah is such an important figure throughout the whole Middle East, not only in Egypt and Saudi, but he would be a dramatic figure for them. As a tourist ambassador as well as other things, he would certainly be commanding £150m if not more.
"They've [Saudis] left the offer open, but he'll have to go fairly soon because it's best to go when you're at the top. They might be thinking okay, it's time to make a move while we've still got some good years in our legs and show some spectacular things."
Given how physically fit Salah is, you can expect him to keep going for a little while yet, especially when you consider that the intensity of the SPL is going completely different to the Premier League.
It all then depends on whether Liverpool want to lose him for a transfer fee or not. The former would require the club to sell him in the summer or convince him to sign yet another contract extension; or he could be allowed to depart as a free agent after all his years of service, before he cashes in.
Right now, it's clear that Salah has more to give to Liverpool, even though his level is worse than usual. In 14 appearances, he's got five goals and three assists - that isn't nothing, and in fact, it's a lot more than some other highly-regarded wingers. The expectations put on him are different.
But it's clear that we're slowly nearing closer to the end, and who could blame him if he wanted to bring as much money in as possible before he retires. The rumoured £150m would go a long way.
