Flamengo received a training boost on Friday at Ninho do Urubu as midfielder Saúl and forward Everton Cebolinha rejoined the group for partial work. Alex Sandro could also be involved against Fluminense on Sunday at the Maracanã.
According to Globo.com, the left-back is training after a right hamstring problem and has a chance to feature, although it is too soon to say he will make the squad for the clássico.
Saúl continues his recovery from surgery on his left heel and could make his first appearance of the season later this month.
Cebolinha underwent imaging that confirmed a fractured rib following the Bragantino game. The typical absence is around three weeks, but his return will depend on the consolidation of the area.
Pulgar and Jorginho remain out of team activities. Pulgar has an acromioclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder and is under medical treatment, while the Italo-Brazilian has a muscle problem in his left calf.
