Saúl of Flamengo celebrates birth of his child in Rio

The Spanish midfielder Saúl Ñíguez, from Flamengo, had a special day this Saturday. His third child, Marco Ñíguez Salamanca, the first carioca of the family, was born in the morning.

The club made sure to share the news on social media: “Another red-and-black for the Nation! Mengão wishes lots of health and happiness with the little one and family!”

Signed in the middle of the season, Saúl debuted for Flamengo at the end of July and has already played seven games, four of them as a starter.

Leader of the Brasileirão 2025, the Rubro-Negro, however, has not yet confirmed if Saúl – after the birth of his child – will be available to face Juventude this Sunday (14), in the Brazilian Championship.
