Portsmouth won 3-1 at Stoke City to climb from 19th to 18th in the Championship and hand the hosts a third straight league defeat.
In the fourth minute, an injury forced Portsmouth goalkeeper Josef Bursik off, with Ben Killip sent on as his replacement.
Adrian Segečić opened the scoring with a left-footed finish from the centre of the box after Harvey Blair's assist (32.).
Before the interval, Killip kept the visitors in front, saving a close-range header from Lamine Cissé and then denying Robert Bozenik.
After the restart, Sorba Thomas's corner was headed in by Cissé for Stoke's equaliser (48.).
Josh Murphy's cross was tucked in by Segečić for his second (66.). The midfielder then completed his treble with a low strike from outside the box (82.).
Portsmouth registered eight attempts with four on target, making their chances count. Stoke City produced 13 attempts and eight corners but only three efforts were on target.
Next, Stoke City visit Bristol City. Portsmouth host Birmingham City.
