Selma Bacha reaches 200 matches for OL Lyonnes and hopes to keep going | OneFootball

Selma Bacha has made her 200th professional appearance for OL Lyonnes, the milestone arriving in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Stade Charléty against Paris FC.

The player said in a post that she was very proud to reach 200 matches and hoped to keep going.

At 25, the left back, a product of the club academy, now sits among the top 15 most loyal players in OL Lyonnes’ history. Wendie Renard leads the list on 517 appearances, with Bacha edging closer to Corinne Petit on 219 and Delphine Cascarino on 223.

She is unlikely to pass them this season unless she features in every match, which seems unlikely given coach Jonatan Giráldez’s rotation, and only if OL Lyonnes go the distance in every competition, with 25 matches still possible.

Bacha joined OL in 2009 after starting at FC Gerland and has won everything with the club. She is in her ninth season at senior level, having broken through in 2017-2018.

In September she extended her contract by one year to 2030. This season she has played 13 times in all competitions and has five assists, with nine goals for the club.
