The Senegalese federation said in a post that the Lions of Teranga will wear a new shirt carrying two stars for Saturday’s friendly against Peru at 5pm, adding that the one-star World Cup 2026 launch reflected production that began in August 2025, before the AFCON.

The stars reference the 2021 and 2026 continental titles.

That stance comes despite the CAF appeals jury awarding the 2026 AFCON to Morocco by a 3-0 forfeit, which removed Senegal’s crown.

When Senegal’s 2026 World Cup kits were unveiled for the 11 June to 19 July tournament, social media users highlighted that they showed only one star.

The match will be played at the Stade de France.
