Senny Mayulu’s Paris Saint-Germain contract talks have stalled, with wage demands from his camp complicating a deal as the club seeks to maintain its pay hierarchy and squad balance.

According to Ici Paris Ile de France, the 21-year-old, whose contract runs to 2027, wants to be paid more than João Neves, who is ahead of him in the pecking order. PSG have rejected that request, particularly with the Portuguese close to renewing his own deal.

Neves’s situation is central to the Mayulu equation. With the former Benfica midfielder’s extension practically assured, PSG must calibrate salaries and midfield roles to preserve internal fairness and keep young talents motivated.

Despite the obstacles, Mayulu appears keen to remain at the Parc des Princes. The outcome depends on aligning his salary expectations with the club’s hierarchy policy, with the Neves case set to shape the midfielder’s future.

Valued at €110 million, João Neves has made 23 appearances for PSG this season, 14 in Ligue 1, six in the Champions League, one in the Intercontinental Cup, one in the Coupe de France and one in the French Super Cup. Across 1,744 minutes, he has recorded six goals and two assists.
