Serie A, Lautaro is the Player of the Month for May | OneFootball

May is the month in which the season ends, the month that secured Inter's historic Double with the Serie A title race victory and the Coppa Italia. The days have been full of pride, moments that will stay in the hearts and minds of the Nerazzurri and Inter fans forever.

So far, the final month of the league campaign has featured two wins against Parma (2-0) and Lazio (3-0), as well as a 1-1 draw with Verona on the day of the Scudetto celebrations. In addition to these matches was the Coppa Italia final victory over Lazio at the Olimpico, games in which captain Lautaro Martinez played a central role and was chosen as Serie A Player of the Month by Lega Serie A. El Toro was back in action against Parma, providing the assist for Mkhitaryan's goal that began the Nerazzurri's Scudetto celebrations, before scoring the opener against Lazio and assisting with another goal for Sucic. Lautaro also scored the winning goal against the Biancocelesti in the Coppa Italia final: an incredible month for Lautaro, topped off as he lifted both the trophies won by the Nerazzurri. The Argentine wins the Player of the Month award for the second time this season after also winning it in December.

The May Player of the Month award will be presented to El Toro before kick-off in Bologna vs. Inter, the final league fixture of the season, scheduled for Saturday, 23 May at 18:00 CEST at the Dall'Ara
