Udinese continue their remarkable start to the season with a hard-fought win away to Pisa, earned by Iker Bravo.
The Friulani were fresh from a shock victory away to Inter before the break for international duty, so were still unbeaten this season. Maduka Okoye continued his ban for betting irregularities, with Sandi Lovric and Daniele Padelli injured, as deadline day signings Nicolò Zaniolo and Alessandro Zanoli were on the bench. Pisa held Atalanta in the opener and narrowly lost 1-0 to Roma, but had Raul Albiol in the squad for the first time.

There was an astonishing double error in the opening 90 seconds, as Udinese goalkeeper Zanos Savva hit a fresh-air clearance inside his own penalty area, then Henrik Meister failed to make the most of that gift, hitting the side-netting of an empty net.
Keinan Davis hit the side-netting with an angled drive, and Udinese did take the lead after 14 minutes.
Arthur Atta completed a give and go with Davis to burst into the box, but when he was blocked off by defenders, the ball fell kindly for Iker Bravo to fire in from 12 yards.
It should’ve been 2-0 moments later when Davis caught Michel Aebischer napping on a back-pass, but he could only hit the side-netting.

Pisa failed to make the most of a gift too, with Stefano Moreo turning over after Oumar Solet’s howler to control a long ball. Moreo also didn’t get full control of a dangerous Toure pull-back from the by-line.
Alberto Gilardino made a triple change at half-time for Pisa, then Zaniolo made his Udinese debut after a deadline day transfer from Galatasaray.
Kingsley Ehizibue horribly scuffed the finish set up for him by Adam Buksa, while at the other end Antonio Caracciolo threatened with an acrobatic over-head kick after a corner, then Matteo Tramoni blasted over the bar for Pisa.
Thomas Kristensen showed some brave defending to fling his head in the path of Meister trying to tap in the Giovanni Bonfanti cross at the back post.
