Serie A’s managerial merry-go-round is already in motion after the 2025-26 season ended last night, with Maurizio Sarri set for Atalanta and Gennaro Gattuso in line for Lazio.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Sarri’s agreement is a two-year deal with an option for a third, worth about three million euros per season plus bonuses.

Lazio have secured his replacement, with former Italy boss Gattuso reaching an agreement with president Claudio Lotito. He is due to take the bench at the Stadio Olimpico on a two-year contract.

Antonio Conte and Napoli announced a mutual separation yesterday. There is confidence Milan will sack Max Allegri after the club failed to clinch Champions League football.

Looking ahead, only a handful of coaches appear rock solid to stay, namely Cristian Chivu at Inter, Gian Piero Gasperini with Roma and Como’s Cesc Fabregas. Luciano Spalletti probably remains in post at Juventus.
