Udinese and Pisa shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw, where both also hit the woodwork and forced tough saves, but Matteo Tramoni’s curler was the highlight.
The Friulani got back on track with a surprise midweek 2-1 victory away to Torino. Adam Buksa was still sidelined, plus Vakoun Bayo at AFCON. Pisa were left rock bottom and with a growing absentee list including Raul Albiol, Juan Cuadrado, Calvin Stengs, Daniel Denoon, Mateus Lusuardi and Isak Vural, along with Ebeneezer Akinsanmiro on international duty.
Pisa had a strong start in Udine, as Stefano Moreo came sliding in to meet the low Samuele Angori cross from the left and Maduka Okoye got down for a great one-handed save at the base of the near post.
The resulting corner was cleared to the edge of the area, where Matteo Tramoni cut inside and bent a sensational right-foot finish into the far top corner.
It didn’t last long, as Christian Kabasele was allowed a free header at the back post on the Nicolò Zaniolo corner from five yards.

Bertola pulled back from the by-line for Jurgen Ekkelenkamp to tap in, but Mehdi Leris lunged into the sliding block and VAR confirmed he got the man before the ball. Keinan Davis sent Scuffet the wrong way with an insouciant penalty to turn the game around.

Pisa got back on level terms when Okoye performed a spectacular reaction save on Piccinini’s free header from a Tramoni cross, but could do nothing on the Henrik Meister follow-up.

The visitors were fired up and nearly turned it around moments later, but Oumar Solet made a desperate block to prevent the Meister tap-in from five yards on another Tramoni cross.
Meister threatened again when surging forward, his screamer fingertipped onto the near post by Okoye, then Idrissa Toure twisted and turned before his curler was charged down by Solet.
Yet Udinese should’ve won it at the 89th minute when first Solet’s shimmy set up Arthur Atta for a low drive that bounced off the upright, then the move continued for Davis to incredibly balloon over the bar from six yards.
