In around an hour’s time, FC Bayern will host FC St. Pauli in the 29th Bundesliga matchday. We bring you the starting line-ups for the game.
After a convincing 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals during the week, FC Bayern now face the daily grind of the Bundesliga against St. Pauli before the second leg against the Whites at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday. Kompany has made a few changes to his starting eleven in view of the upcoming top-of-the-table clash in the top flight.
Vincent Kompany has made seven changes to his starting XI compared to the game in the Spanish capital. Manuel Neuer will once again be in goal, with Konrad Laimer, Minjae Kim, Hiroki Ito and Tom Bischof forming the back four. In central midfield, Kompany has opted for Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich.
Kompany’s rotation doesn’t stop in attack either. Harry Kane will be replaced by Nicolas Jackson in the center of attack. Michael Olise remains in the starting eleven and will play on the right wing as usual. Jamal Musiala will line up in the ten-man position to replace Serge Gnabry. Luis Díaz will also get a break today and will be replaced on the left wing by Raphael Guerreiro.

Should things get dicey against St. Pauli today, Kompany still has his top stars on the bench: Kane, Díaz, Olise and co. have all traveled to Hamburg and would be ready to go if the game were to be in doubt.
However, Lennart Karl will not be in the Hanseatic city as he suffered a torn muscle fibre on Friday and will therefore miss a few weeks.
