According to a report from Foot Mercato, Sevilla have approached Paris Saint-Germain in recent days over the possibility of securing Presnel Kimpembe (29) on loan for the rest of the season.
PSG were reportedly open to the possibility of the centre-back leaving the club even if meant that they would have to cover a significant portion of his salary in order to facilitate the move.
However, Foot Mercato writes that Kimpembe is reluctant to leave despite having not yet featured for Les Parisiens this season. The defender reportedly wants to stay and fight for his place in the French capital and believes that he can still win over Luis Enrique who has been reluctant to use him even as a substitute since he returned from injury.
Kimpembe suffered an Achilles injury nearly two years ago. Having undergone surgery in the wake of the blow, he then had to undergo another bout of surgery just a few months later with the defender still feeling pain in the affected area.
