Sevilla have made a formal enquiry about Levante captain Pablo Martínez, who is out of contract in three weeks, according to SER Deportivos Valencia.
The midfielder has not received a renewal offer and none is expected. Osasuna, Getafe and Elche have also asked about him.
Martínez enjoyed a standout campaign as Levante secured survival after a superb run-in. He played 27 LaLiga matches, scoring one goal and supplying five assists.
Born in Madrid on 22 February 1998, he rose through Levante’s academy and debuted for the first team in December 2019. A 2021 loan at CD Mirandés preceded his consolidation as a regular since the club’s return to the top flight, taking him beyond 150 senior appearances.
The 1.82-metre right-footer is known for his work-rate and timing arriving in advanced areas. He offers a powerful shot from range, tidy distribution, aerial presence and diligent defensive pressing, and he can operate as an interior or a creative No 10.
A free transfer would fit Sevilla’s cost-conscious plan and deepen midfield options. His arrival would be the fourth free addition after Juan Iglesias, Arouna Sangante and Jon Guridi.
