Garancho joined Chelsea from Manchester United last summer in a deal worth £40m, but has had a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old has scored eight goals in 37 appearances, but worryingly only one of those has come in the Premier League.

Garancho has been criticised for his performances this season, and he’s already been linked with a move away from the club.

River Plate are said to be interested in Garnacho, and it can’t be entirely ruled out that Chelsea would look to move him on after just one season.

Garnacho could be playing for his Chelsea career over the final seven games of the season, and Wright-Phillips has offered some advice to try and turn things around.

“I feel like he may need to put his ego a little bit in check,” he said as quoted on X.com.

“Because in a Premier League, a half season or one season is not good enough. To be at a level where people want to buy you, it has to be a consistent thing.

“It’s okay scoring sometimes, but I know the Chelsea fans, the least they need from you is 110%. If they see you working that hard for that badge, they will back you.

“I don’t know whether that’s tactically, or whether he’s not happy, but they got nearly six or seven wingers, so he’s gonna have to do something because Gittens might just switch on at any given point.”
