Sheffield United are reportedly attempting to bring Kalvin Phillips back to the club after his loan move last season.
Philipps joined the Blades in February on loan from Manchester City and made just three appearances in that time. His last game was on February 22nd in the Steel City derby when he was given a straight red card although his side still went on to win.
The 30-year-old has certainly caught the eye of manager Chris Wilder and according to journalist Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports News, Sheffield United have now approached Manchester City over bringing the player back next season – likely for another loan.
Philipps struggled at City after his move from Leeds United in the summer of 2022, making just 32 appearances for the Citizens. In that time he also was sent out on loan to West Ham United and Ipswich Town.
