Preston, Sheffield United, and Swansea City are among three Championship clubs chasing Chelsea youngster Jimmy-Jay Morgan this summer
A host of Championship clubs are tracking one of Peterborough United's current stars ahead of the summer transfer window opening in the near future.
It's been an indifferent season at the Weston Holmes Stadium for Peterborough United, with Posh yet to secure their status in the third tier, albeit they have two games in hand on many of their rivals at the wrong end of the table.
Sitting four points clear of Exeter City above the drop zone, Peterborough are in a cluster of teams scrapping to secure their status in League One for next year.
Fortunately for United, they have two games in hand on numerous sides below them, and one or two more wins would almost certainly secure survival.
There has been little to shout about in Cambridgeshire this year, though one light has shone brighter than most, as Championship clubs have begun to circle for one of their star players, who they have almost certainly no chance of keeping next year.

According to BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel, a host of Championship clubs, including Preston North End, Sheffield United, and Swansea City, are all interested in Jimmy-Jay Morgan this summer, with the 20-year-old enjoying an excellent campaign on loan in League One with Peterborough United from Chelsea.
This is Morgan's second loan spell out in the EFL, having spent 16 games on loan with Gillingham in League Two for the second half of last season, scoring twice.
Since making the jump to the third tier this campaign, Morgan has scored 12 and assisted three in 33 league games for the Posh, with 14 goals in all competitions, and has been pivotal to their survival hopes.
Peterborough have a reputation for churning out excellent attacking talent over the years, with the likes of Ivan Toney, Britt Assombalonga, Jonson Clarke-Harris, Ricky Jade-Jones and Dwight Gayle just several of the forwards who have spent time with the club previously before excelling elsewhere.
Whilst only a loan, Morgan could well be the next player to go on and become a success after a successful spell in Cambridgeshire, and looks likely to be on his way to the Championship this summer.
With just one year remaining on his current deal with Chelsea, the 20-year-old has yet to sign fresh terms at Stamford Bridge, allowing him to potentially leave for a relatively cheap fee within the coming months.
Interest in the England youth international is set to be high, as it's expected that Morgan will have his pick of the clubs this summer, with his situation certainly being one to keep an eye on.

With the summer transfer window closing in, interest in Morgan is set to ramp up, with the 20-year-old likely to leave Chelsea following his loan spell with Peterbrough.
The aforementioned clubs linked with a move will be eager to get their noses in first when it comes to striking a deal with the Blues, but will almost certainly face interest from many other clubs across the division as the saga continues.
With 15 league goal contributions in his first full season in professional first team football, Morgan looks primed to make the jump to the second tier already, though which club will be the one fortunate enough to obtain his signature remains to be seen.
