Sevilla have revived interest in Giovanni Simeone as they seek experience and edge at the tip of Nervión’s attack. According to La Colina De Nervion, the Torino striker is being closely monitored.

Recruitment chief Antonio Cordón is targeting a forward who brings competitiveness and goals to a project rebuilding authority in both boxes. After an erratic attacking year, Simeone’s profile fits the brief.

River Plate are also pushing to bring their academy product home, and optimism has grown in Argentina about a repatriation. Playing in La Liga with a club of Sevilla’s stature is likewise attractive for the 30-year-old.

Simeone is enjoying a strong Serie A season after Napoli and now Torino, with 11 goals and two assists. He is under contract until June 2028, so the Italian club are unlikely to ease any exit.

His valuation is around five million euros, meaning Sevilla would need smart negotiation, and the player’s stance could prove decisive.

Up front, Alexis Sánchez and Neal Maupay look set to leave at season’s end, creating vacancies. Isaac Romero has a rotation role with five goals, while Akor Adams leads the numbers, matching Dodi Lukebakio’s 12 goal involvements last year.

Sevilla believe Simeone could provide the maturity required for next season. The coming updates will show whether they can fend off River and convince Torino.
