Sunderland are weighing up Simon Adingra’s future this summer, with a permanent departure considered likely amid mounting interest.
According to Foot Mercato, AS Monaco are keen on arranging another loan after opting against triggering their option to buy at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. The clubs have close ties via Juan Sartori, who sits on both boards and has family links to Monaco’s ownership.
Sunderland’s preference is thought to be a permanent sale, and growing competition could complicate Monaco’s plan. AS Roma and RB Leipzig, both set for next season’s Champions League, are said to be monitoring developments.
Newly promoted Ipswich Town and Hull City are also interested, while recently relegated West Ham United want to bolster wide options after retaining Nuno and a bumper sale of Mateus Fernandes. With Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville expected to attract interest, further movement in that area is possible.
Adingra impressed in spells early last season but struggled to nail down a regular place under Régis Le Bris. Sunderland must decide whether to cash in now or sanction another loan to rebuild confidence and value.
The winger is currently on a summer break after Ivory Coast’s World Cup exit at the last 32 stage.
