Former Inter defender Milan Skriniar is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans at Paris Saint-Germain, and is set to be made available on the transfer market with just a week remaining until the end of the summer window.

The Slovakian was left on the bench for PSG’s 4-1 victory over Le Havre in the opening round of Ligue 1 fixtures last weekend, but has not been called up to the squad to face Montpellier this Friday evening.

According to reports in France, and from Sky Sport Italia, the former Nerazzurri centre-back could be made available for transfer with just seven days remaining until the close of the transfer window.

That is despite the fact that he only joined the Parisians last summer, on a free transfer following the expiry of his Inter contract.

He was rewarded with a contract that earns him a reported €9m per season in wages, which could turn out to be problematic for PSG if they do try to sell him this late on in the transfer window.

The end of Skriniar’s time with Inter was plagued by injuries, which was also a similar theme during his first season at the Parc des Princes.

He did not feature under Simone Inzaghi after mid-February of the 2022-23 season, and then suffered an ankle injury mid-way through the 2023-24 campaign, which limited him to just 24 league outings.
