Sky Sports reveal Ajax’s Jorrel Hato demands, and how much Chelsea are prepared to pay | OneFootball

Chelsea are ready to pay £44m for Ajax star Jorrel Hato, but the Dutch giants are said to want £52m according to Sky Sports.

The Blues have been busy this summer and have already signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, with more new faces expected to follow.

Chelsea are currently working on deals for Dutch duo Hato and Xavi Simons, with both moves thought to be progressing well.

Chelsea ready to pay £44m for Jorrel Hato

Chelsea have strengthened in key areas of the squad, but there’s one area which desperately needs addressing, and that’s a back-up for Marc Cucurella at left back.

Cucurella is currently the only left back in the squad, and Chelsea would have a huge problem if he ever got injured.

However, the Blues have identified Ajax teenager Hato as the player they want to bring in, with a deal believed to be advancing.

Chelsea are said to have agreed personal terms with Hato, and the 19-year-old can play both at left back and centre back.

The Blues reportedly had a bid rejected for the Dutch international, with Hato thought to have informed Ajax he wants to leave for Chelsea.

Sky Sports have provided an update on the situation and have reported Chelsea are prepared to pay £44m, but Ajax are holding out for £52m.

Despite his age Hato has already played over 100 times for Ajax, including in European competition, and is a full Dutch international.

Xavi Simons deal progressing

Hato isn’t the only deal Chelsea are working on, and they are also in negotiations with Leipzig over a move for Simons.
