Jackson’s Chelsea stalemate must end

According to Phillips:

“A new attacker will be targeted, one who can play on the left but offers versatility. New strikers are already being looked into as well.”

You know who can play up top and on the left wing? Nicolas Jackson. Well, Chelsea have thought of that too. New manager Xabi Alonso will “make a call” on whether he wants to keep the striker, with Jackson’s attitude also clearly an important factor.

A major part of Jackson’s desire to leave was a perceived lack of faith from Enzo Maresca, clearly. But how much did his forcing a loan move to Bayern Munich break his relationship with senior sporting figures? We guess we’re about to find out…

Marc Cucurella may be leaving Chelsea, and another central defender coming means two defensive additions to the Blues.

As well as those major defensive changes, it sounds like Chelsea are considering changes in goal. But right now there are other priorities, and we have our doubts that a big signing will be made.
