Everyone knows Dibling's Tottenham rumor has been the center attraction of the upcoming summer transfer window. Yet given the Spurs' icon Van der Vaart's opinion, a switch isn't that obvious even now.

Hey, but who's at a loss in this? It's definitely Tottenham. After all, cooling off their Dibling interest doesn't affect the abundance of bidders for the Saints prodigy.

Know what's more interesting, German club Bayer Leverkusen has emerged as a new surprise destination for the 19-year-old.

Now, initially, it might surprise one but Southampton might benefit from leveraging this newfound Leverkusen interest.

This is because Dibling's Bayer move is laid on a pre-requisite condition. Interestingly, if Wirtz departs, the German club would be in an urgency to replace him, being more tempted to heed Southampton's transfer ask.

Additionally, why should Southampton sell their best talent to direct rivals Tottenham, in the presence of better offers? That's common sense.

Sadly, still there's a chance Southampton gets duped in the Dibling transfer deal. After all, their relegation situation still has the ball in the player's bidders' court.
