Manchester United views Tyler Dibling as a potential right-wingback, the same role where Southampton already regret their missed Sam Amo-Ameyaw opportunity.
Tell me, could you have predicted correctly who among, Amo-Ameyaw and Tyler Dibling would succeed at Southampton? Honestly, the chances are pretty low.
But you can't be blamed. After all, both being prodigy stars, playing on the right wing, shared similar physical traits as well.
Still, they have got going quite differently. While Dibling took off this season as a Saint, Amo-Ameyaw is now thriving on a Strasbourg loan.
Now it's easy to realize only a miracle can bring their fate together again. But, would you believe me when I say, that despite not on all terms, the duo can be on a same page again? And easy to guess, given Southampton's fate, it is an alarming situation again.
Days ago, we saw how brilliantly loanee Amo-Ameyaw is being utilized in a right-wing-back role at Strasbourg. Well, Tyler Dibling can replicate that regret of Saints fans if these rumours are to be believed.
As per a recent Express Co report, Dibling's old suitors Man United eye him as a wing-back recruitment for Ruben Amorim.
To say the least, if this update has done anything, it has further complicated Southampton's situation. Just some time ago, the Saints were tipped to accept the Red Devils' €40m offer and now comes this.
But while Southampton would want to dodge Man United's interest now, they feel completely helpless.
After all, with Tottenham's interest cooling down and Dibling's value slipping, they aren't left with many English options. Now, of course, there are foreign suitors, but it is obvious they might hesitate to match Southampton's €55m valuation.
Clearly, the Saints face a dilemmatic decision, lose some cash on Dibling's fee or watch another bright talent slip in a familiar fashion.
