Southampton is exploring about the possibility of taking Tottenham Hotspur's academy star Tyrese Hall in a swap deal.
The recent few days have conveyed Southampton that Tyler Dibling's future will be resolved quickly. Tottenham Hotspurs are viewed as the frontrunners to sign Dibling but other clubs also remain in the running.
Therefore, it boils down to which team could appease Southampton with their transfer offers. Initially, a massive bid fest was expected in June but the current scenario suggests that some good deal conditions would be enough.
In this regard, Newcastle United have been tipped to include Matt Targett to present an irresistible offer. Targett's homecoming idea would be welcomed by the Saints but they have set their sights on recruiting a Tottenham Hotspur player instead.
According to a report from the Express, Southampton are huge admirers of Tottenham wonderkid Tyrese Hall. Further, the club has inquired Tottenham about signing Hall after selling Dibling to them.
I know many Southampton fans might prioritize swapping a Tottenham starter for Dibling. Yet, adding a promising teenager could be a shrewd piece of business for the future.
The biggest reason is that Dibling's departure would weaken the Southampton attack. As such, signing a talented playmaker like Tyrese Hall could prove to be beneficial in the long run.
Further, the England U21 international is among the biggest rising stars in the Premier League 2. On top of that, Southampton are masters themselves in the art of successfully developing and guiding young players.
Thus, this move seems to be a huge success in the making. The only hindrance in this deal could be Tottenham's unwillingness to sell Hall permanently.
However, the North London outfit will be aware that they must accept Southampton's demands if they are to secure Dibling's signature. Otherwise, the Saints would indulge in negotiations elsewhere.
Let's see whether Tottenham would agree to trade Hall to Southampton.
