Spain boss De la Fuente speaks on Lamine Yamal vs Dani Carvajal saga | OneFootball

Spanish national team head coach Luis de la Fuente has provided his take on the recent falling out between Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, and Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal.

Drawn on the incident during a press conference after naming his latest squad on Friday, De la Fuente explained:

“The disagreement between Lamine Yamal and Carvajal needs to be handled naturally. It’s very easy to get along with them. The image that stays with me is that of their embrace after the goal against Croatia. That’s our reality.”

Wide-man Lamine and defender Carvajal were of course at the heart of a heated exchange following the season’s first edition of El Clásico late last month.

As much came after the former was accused of a round of disprespectful comments towards Real Madrid as a club.

Lamine, for his part, has since been included in Spain’s latest squad for a pair of upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Türkiye.

Carvajal, on the other hand, was left out by La Roja, sidelined at present after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.
