Spain vs Argentina Finalíssima ‘to be played’ in November at Lusail | OneFootball

Spain’s World Cup celebrations have barely paused, yet a revived Finalíssima against Argentina is being considered for late 2026. According to ESPN, the match would be played in the November FIFA window at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

The Finalíssima usually pairs the European champions with the Copa América winners. In this instance it would reunite the two sides who contested the 2026 World Cup final.

The earlier plan for this year was cancelled after the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East between the United States and Iran. The RFEF and AFA searched for alternatives to the scheduled 27 March date in Qatar, then abandoned the idea.

Spain instead played friendlies, first against Serbia in Villarreal, then against Egypt days later.

La Roja’s triumph on 19 July delivered a second star, followed by visits to the Zarzuela Palace and Moncloa, then a public celebration at Cibeles.
