Sport ‘to sign’ ex-Flamengo forward Pablo Ruan | OneFootball

Sport, recently relegated to Série B, are in advanced negotiations to sign striker Pablo Ruan as they reshape their squad for the second division.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he is expected to be announced after the Campeonato Pernambucano ends. The centre-forward is currently with Nacional in Portugal and is under contract until June 2030.

Pablo Ruan was among 16 survivors of the 2019 fire at Flamengo’s Ninho do Urubu training complex, which claimed the lives of 10 youth players. He escaped through a window grille and suffered only minor scratches.

He left Flamengo at 17, then had spells with Palmeiras and Atlético-MG’s under-20s. A move to Londrina followed, where he impressed before a 2025 transfer to Nacional.

Flamengo, his former club, face Sampaio Corrêa-RJ on Saturday at 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the final round of the first phase of the state championship.
