The former Leeds United striker is still training with the Sky Blues
It has emerged that former Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is still working with Coventry City at present, with the experienced forward still in search of his latest full-time club.
The 32-year-old has become a household name in the Championship and Premier League within the past decade or so, but is best known for his work at Elland Road between 2018, when he joined the West Yorkshire side from Middlesbrough under Marcelo Bielsa, before departing by mutual consent in the latter days of the summer transfer window.
Bamford struggled to appear as a regular fixture within Daniel Farke's starting lineup, or a source of goals, for the side who eventually secured their second Championship title within a five-year period through a final-day success at now-League One Plymouth Argyle on May 4th, and eventually agreed to further his career elsewhere after the summer arrivals of Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Much has been made of what the next course of action is for the Chelsea academy graduate, who remains on the free agent market more than two months after he exited the Premier League newcomers, with several Championship sides linked with a potential agreement as a result, alongside clubs in the MLS.
As such, speculation only intensified when Bamford was spotted at the Sky Blues' Ryton-on-Dunsmore training base on Friday, October 24th.
The league-leading West Midlands outfit have played out three league fixtures since then, emerging victorious at the CBS Arena against Watford and Sheffield United, whilst also succumbing to a first defeat of the season against Wrexham last Friday.
However, footage has recirculated of Bamford continuing to train with the promotion hopefuls ahead of their most recent clash against the Blades, only adding to such transfer discourse.

At the time of his first sighting in this part of the West Midlands, it was claimed by local publication, Coventry Live, that Lampard had offered Bamford the chance to link up and train with his first-team squad whilst the experienced forward continues to search for his latest career move.
This came after divisional rivals such as Portsmouth and Bamford's former side, Middlesbrough, were heavily linked just weeks after his Leeds exit, albeit talk of a move to Fratton Park was also quashed pretty swiftly.
Coventry have continued to fire on all cylinders from an attacking point since then, too, with Brandon Thomas-Asante and Haji Wright sitting first and second in the Championship's individual scoring charts, whilst the Sky Blues' collective return of 39 goals in 14 matches remains the highest tally in the Premier League and EFL.
The last three of those came in response to an initial setback from Sam McCallum on Tuesday night, with Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Bobby Thomas and Thomas-Asante completing a comeback.
As has become the norm, the Championship leaders then posted the latest instalment of 'City Unseen' on YouTube, which offers supporters a behind-the-scenes insight into developments at their club.
Approximately 49 seconds in, Bamford is spotted as part of a pre-match training drill, running in a group that included Thomas, Jamie Allen and current captain, Matt Grimes.

Normally, a free agent signing would be made after the transfer window in a bid to address glaring concerns in a particular department.
Yet, as much as Lampard will be aware of Bamford's experience and ability, having been teammates at Chelsea over 10 years ago, the Sky Blues aren't desperate to add to their attacking ranks by any means at present.
As previously mentioned, they are the most potent scorers in the division, and have the two most-lethal individual marksmen in Thomas-Asante and Wright, whilst goals continue to fly in from across the squad.
It is nice to see that Lampard is offering Bamford a much-needed favour, although it must be said that, if his ESTIMATED wages at Elland Road are anything to go by, forking out in excess of £70,000 per week for a squad player wouldn't be seen as a smart move, particularly when Ellis Simms is also waiting in the wings for his opportunity to return to form.
