Danilo broke the game open in the 48th minute with a low finish, setting Botafogo on their way to a 4-0 win over Cruzeiro. The midfielder's brace framed a dominant second half.
Taking charge after the restart, Danilo latched onto Arthur Cabral's through ball and slotted into the bottom-right corner (48.).
He then drove another effort after combining with Artur, his strike blocked on the edge (64.). Later, he timed a late run into the box and glanced in Nathan Fernandes' cross for his second (85.).
The Brazilian finished with two goals from three attempts, two on target, while completing 36 of 39 passes. He also produced 12 successful final third passes and seven recoveries, underscoring how he connected midfield to attack and sustained pressure.
With Fogão's wide supply – notably the delivery for his header – Danilo attacked inside channels that kept Raposa off balance, ensuring Glorioso controlled the game's key phases.
Fogão visit Grêmio next. Cruzeiro host Coritiba.
