Mateusz Łęgowski decided the game in the 44th minute with a precise strike, as Eyüpspor beat Fatih Karagümrük 2-1.
Łęgowski arrived on the edge of the box to guide a right-footed effort into the bottom left corner after Cengiz Umut Meras' pass from the left. The midfielder's timing and clean contact turned a stretched first half in Eyüpspor's favour.
After the restart he helped Eyüpspor manage territory, competing in the air and offering an outlet as his side later went down to ten men (78.). His positioning eased pressure and allowed counters to breathe when they needed distance from their own area.
He finished with one attempt, which he converted, plus two clearances and two aerial duels won. He also completed 16 of 22 passes, including four in the final third, underlining tidy link play to move Eyüpspor up the pitch.
Because Eyüpspor found Łęgowski between Karagümrük's lines, especially off overlaps down the left, he could step onto cut-backs and attack space at the top of the area. That freedom kept Karagümrük's defence reactive and ensured the key phases belonged to Eyüpspor.
Eyüpspor rise from 17th to 16th and host Gaziantep next. Fatih Karagümrük visit Beşiktaş.
