After missing out on the Ballon d’Or earlier this year, Vinicius Junior was finally crowned with an individual honour this week as he won the prestigious BEST award.

The BEST award acknowledged Vinicius’ contributions for Real Madrid last season, as he helped Los Blancos secure the Champions League title.

In the wake of his triumph, Vinicius returned to the Real Madrid camp, where he was showered praise and love.

Vinicius’ message to his teammates

“Thank you very much to all of you for being part of this,” Vinicius began as heard in the video shared by Real Madrid.

“It’s a very important award for me, but without you, I wouldn’t have won this award,” added the forward, who was arguably best player in Europe last season.

He specifically thanked teammates Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez, Dani Ceballos, and Federico, highlighting their role in his journey.

“The truth is that you are part of my family,” he continued, acknowledging how their support since his early days at the club has been crucial. “It’s very important to be with you every day.”

This win adds to Vinicius’s growing list of achievements, further cementing his status as a pivotal player in modern football.

Vinicius’ objective now will be to maintain his consistent performances and elevate his numbers during the second half of the season.
