The race for Rangers target Luke Graham is ‘starting to really heat up behind the scenes’ as the Gers prepare a formal bid to take him to Ibrox.
Rangers have started to hit the ground running in the transfer market and have already agreed the capture of attacker Lawrence Shankland from Hearts.
Shankland has agreed a two-year contract at Rangers with an option for an additional year and will formally join the club when the transfer window opens in the middle of June.
Rangers have now switched their attention to Dundee defender Graham, whose qualities were talked up by two former Gers stars earlier this year.
Jamie Murphy picked out Graham as someone Rangers should be looking at signing, while Alex Rae tipped him as a target after noting he was ‘bullying’ opposing attackers.

Rangers are now readying a formal bid for Graham, who has interest from elsewhere, and the situation around the Dundee man is starting to heat up.
It is suggested the Gers face real competition from clubs in England and Europe for Graham.
Journalist Scott Burns wrote on X: “Starting to really heat up behind the scenes on Luke Graham.
“Rangers looking to formalise things, but interest as strong from clubs in England and Europe. Can only be good for Dundee.
“The big defender, who is currently with the Scotland squad, will have a number of options.”

How quickly Rangers will move for Graham remains to be seen, but the Gers do appear to want to steal a march on their competitors by preparing a bid.
Graham also fits within the club’s transfer aims to add more Scottish players this summer as they look to improve on a poor campaign.
Danny Rohl had Rangers in position to win the Scottish Premiership title when the split happened, but the Gers completely collapsed and will not even be entering the Champions League qualifiers in the summer.
Young manager Rohl has been backed by the Rangers board, but questions will be asked if the Gers do not make a good start to next season, especially with a full summer transfer window to reshape the squad.
With fierce competition though, the jury remains out on whether Graham will be Ibrox bound.
