Stellenbosch FC have secured their place in a second consecutive MTN8 final against Orlando Pirates after a 1-1 draw with Sekhukhune United in the second leg of their semi-final clash.

Holding a comfortable 2-0 advantage from the first leg, Stellenbosch extended their aggregate lead early in the match when Mthetheleli Mthiyane found the net in the 22nd minute. Despite Sekhukhune pulling a goal back through Siphesihle Mkhize in the 66th minute, the Cape Winelands side comfortably progressed 3-1 on aggregate.

The result sets up a highly anticipated final rematch between Stellenbosch and the defending champions, Orlando Pirates, who defeated Mamelodi Sundowns on penalties to reach their fourth consecutive MTN8 final. Pirates claimed last year's title with a 3-1 victory over Stellenbosch at Moses Mabhida Stadium, adding further intrigue to this season's championship decider.
