Stije Resink open to discussing offers amid Benfica links | OneFootball

Groningen midfielder Stije Resink says he is unsure about his future this month, though he is open to discussing offers amid links to Benfica.

"Honestly, I do not know what will happen. I was clear two days ago. I really do not know what will happen. I try to be as honest as possible, but I will not go into details. I think that would not be quite right," he told DVHN.

He made the remarks after being substituted with a left ankle injury in the match against Fortuna Sittard.

"If a proposal is presented, I want the chance to discuss it. It is not only about me. It will not be a deal that benefits only me, but the club as well. Of course I would not leave for free."

Groningen have not ruled out a January sale, with his contract allowing a 6 million euros summer exit. The club are therefore seeking a higher fee now. Resink, 22, has 21 appearances this season, 20 in the Eredivisie and one in the cup, totalling 1,857 minutes with four goals and five assists. He is valued at 7 million euros.
