Norwich City take on Stoke City on Saturday, who have just come off the back of a morale-lifting 3-1 victory over Swansea City.

This season hasn't been what Canaries or Potters fans had hoped for.

The former sit slap-bang in the middle of the table, seemingly unable to string consistent results together, whilst the latter are nervously looking over their shoulder at the prospect of a relegation battle.

Despite Norwich sitting in the middle of the pack, the race for the play-offs remains wide open, as sixth-placed West Brom are just four points ahead of the East Anglian side. This makes their lack of consistency frustrating for supporters, as a string of wins could see them march into the top six.

This weekend presents a great opportunity to get back to winning ways, following a draw against Hull City last Saturday. When you look at Stoke's league position, this may be a favourable game on paper for Norwich, but after Stoke's win over Swansea, the Canaries will have to hope that result hasn't kickstarted Mark Robins and his team.

However, Norwich certainly have some vital individual quality, which the Potters must ensure they keep quiet on Saturday, should they wish to get a positive result from the match.

When you think of Norwich's key threats, it's hard to look past Borja Sainz, who has scored 15 goals so far this season from out wide. However, FLW's Norwich fan pundit, Zeke, told us the new January arrival, Matej Jurasek, may be the one to look out for.

When quizzed about who could be City's danger man on Saturday, Zeke said: "There are two really obvious options for this one. Those would be [Josh] Sargeant and [Borja] Sainz.

"I might go with [Matej] Jurasek. He's relatively unknown and teams don't really know much about him yet.

"He's a really strong player and there's a lot to like about him. I've been really impressed by how he's started, and I think he's only going to improve."

Jurasek could be Norwich City's secret weapon

The Czech Republic international arrived at Carrow Road in the middle of January, signing a bumper contract until June 2030. This was a real statement of intent from Mark Attanasio, as the 21-year-old looks to have a big future on the horizon.

In his two appearances so far, Jurasek has impressed Canaries supporters and will be hoping to help the team start to get some positive results heading into a crucial part of the season. Whilst the winger is still very much finding his feet in England, it only seems a matter of time until the quality he showed at Slavia Prague begins to show for Norwich.

He arrives with plenty of expectations, having reportedly set the Yellows back around £5.8m for his services. However, that fee will certainly be worth every penny if he helps the club reach the play-offs in the second half of the campaign.

As Zeke mentioned, the Czech winger will only improve from now, which Norwich will be hoping can not only cause Stoke issues at the weekend, but the rest of their opponents before the season's end as well. With the added catalyst of Jurasek being relatively unknown, he could become somewhat of a secret weapon for Johannes Hoff Thorup.
