Stoke City’s Jun-ho Bae ‘agrees to join’ Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais are pursuing Stoke City’s Jun-ho Bae and, according to Foot Mercato, the 22-year-old has agreed to join, with discussions between the parties ongoing. The move could see OL add a midfielder in the coming days.

The French club have been busy early in the window. Mads Bidstrup, Julien Duranville, Noham Kamara, Mohamed Ouédraogo and Kail Boudache have already arrived.

OL also need to sell. Afonso Moreira has departed for a significant fee, and further exits are anticipated, particularly in midfield with Tanner Tessmann and Orel Mangala linked with moves.

Lyon are seeking to get ahead of any departures by moving for Bae, who was called up by South Korea for the FIFA World Cup. He is primarily a midfielder.

Bae can also operate on the left wing.
