Valencia beat Getafe to return to winning ways in La Liga after six matches without a victory, also halting their poor away run under Carlos Corberán. Stole Dimitrievski kept a clean sheet on a night that also brought a setback with Tárrega’s injury. He later posted a short but meaningful message.

The player said in a post that the road is long, signing off with Amunt Valencia.

The clean sheet offered a boost for a side that has struggled to shut teams out this season. Dimitrievski has assumed the starting role after Julen Agirrezabala’s injury and, although rarely troubled, he provided assurance throughout.

It is worth recalling he was close to leaving last summer when the club moved for Agirrezabala. Having already accepted back-up duty when Mamardashvili stayed for 2024/25, he thought his chance to start would come this season, but Corberán’s preference for another goalkeeper altered that.

Several Saudi clubs showed strong interest, yet none of the proposals convinced him, and he stayed to fight for the shirt at Mestalla. In that context, his message can be read on both a collective level, with Valencia navigating a difficult spell, and a personal one. After a difficult summer, he now has the chance to prove his level as a starter.
