Striking duo top Corinthians scoring charts since Dorival Júnior arrived

Corinthians is experiencing a new phase under the command of Dorival Júnior. The team has seen its defensive performance improve with the coach, but the attack has also maintained a positive balance. Since the coach’s arrival, the black-and-white squad has found the net 36 times with 17 different players scoring, with Yuri Alberto and Gui Negão standing out as the top scorers of this period.

The number 9 leads the ranking with seven goals scored in 21 matches under Dorival Júnior. Right behind is Gui Negão, a major revelation from the youth academy this season, with five goals in 17 games with the coach—a performance that has excited the Fiel with his rapid rise.

Next on the list are Memphis Depay and Maycon, both with three goals each. The Dutch forward played in 19 matches under the coach, while the midfielder took the field 22 times, becoming one of the most utilized players by the 63-year-old coach at Timão.

Under the command of the coaching staff led by Dorival Júnior, Corinthians played 33 official matches in 2025, two of which were managed by assistant Lucas Silvestre. During this period, Timão collected 54 points, achieving a success rate of 54.54%. There were 15 wins, nine draws, and nine losses, with 36 goals scored (an average of 1.09 per game) and 27 goals conceded, which represents a defensive average of 0.81 per match.

Other players also left their mark during this period: Cacá, Matheuzinho, Matheus Bidu, and Gustavo Henrique, with two goals each. Meanwhile, Charles, Breno Bidon, Talles Magno, Raniele, André, Carrillo, Rodrigo Garro, Héctor Hernández, and Igor Coronado scored once. The team also benefited from an own goal by Piquerez, from Palmeiras, in the 1-1 draw in the second round of the Brasileirão.

Under Dorival Júnior, Corinthians is preparing for its next challenge of the season. The team returns to the pitch only next Sunday, November 2, at 4pm (Brasília time), at Neo Química Arena, in a match for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship.
